Food recommendations in HK!

O'rite guys, this time round I'm not going to blog what I did daily in HK, like how I usually do. Becos we went to TOO MANY places till I can't remember, to & fro, to & fro, lolol. I'm gonna show you some of the (good) food I ate instead (shopping & fun places in other posts), and their addresses, so you can use it as a reference if you visit Hong Kong in future. But of cos, this is based on my own opinion, it might not suits your taste.

Here we go...

1) Kyozasa Restaurant (Free wifi!)

Their appetizer, and it's damn good.

Jane's coll recommended this, cucumber salad, good too!

Apparently, this is one of the few popular Japanese restaurant (run by Japanese) in Hong Kong. But becos I don't eat any raw food, I missed out the best of this restaurant. I really love their appetizer and cucumber salad though. (Thanks Jane for treating me this dinner!)

It's located at Tsim Sha Tsui area (MTR exit Tsim Sha Tsui).

1/F 42-34 Haiphong Road, Tsim Shai Tsui
Tel: 2376 1888 / 2376 2318

2) Kung Fu Dim Sum 功夫點心 (Free wifi!)

I can only say, good dim sum at very affordable price. I don't really believe in sourcing online for recommended food becos those are very expensive and long queue. (That's what Cheryl did, lol!) Some (non popular) HK cafes serve good and cheap food as well. And I'd prefer those actually.

Shop 4, Promenade Level of Tower 2,
China Hong Kong City, 33 Canton Road,
Tsim Sha Tsui
Tel: 2836 6788
(They have various outlets!)

3) Tsui Wah Restaurant (No wifi!)

Tsui Wah is a very popular cafe in HK. They have chain of outlets, you can literally find them everywhere. We went to the one near Langham Place and Causeway Bay.

Click here for their outlets location.

4) Australia Dairy Co. 欧洲牛奶公司 (No wifi!)

Very popular and there's one and only one outlet, located near Jordan MTR station.

Look at the long queue!!! But it's moving very fast cos their service is damn fast and efficient. Food served in less than 5 mins after ordering. And it's quite affordable, average about S$10 per pax.

Our super hearty breakfast which lasted us all the way till evening.

47 Parkes Street, Kowloon,
Hong Kong, China (Jordan)
Tel: 852-27301356

5) Yung Kee Restaurant (No wifi!)

This place is very far from where we were staying, walking distance from Central MTR station.

Best century egg, ever. (I tabao back home!!!)

Well, this place is not so affordable, about S$90-S$100 per pax. But their food is not bad lah, kinda salty but HK food is salty everywhere lor!

32-40 Wellington Street,
Central, Hong Kong
Tel: (852) 2522 1624

6) Mak’s Noodle 麥奀雲吞麵世家 (No wifi!)

S$5+ per small bowl. It's good though.

Nothing soupy is good without chilli padi. (Cheryl helped me to bring the chilli padi from SG! LOL)

G/F, 55 Parkes Street, Jordan
Located next to Australian Dairy Co.
Tel: + (852) 2302 0908

7) Tea Wood (Free wifi but damn weak!)

Lo' & behold, this cafe impressed me the most! It's a Taiwan cafe.

Without Vic, we will never get to know about this place. According to her, you may need to queue about 2 hours to get seats most of the time. We were lucky cos we need not queue but we were there around 11pm on a weekday. It was still crowded though.

Their food not only looks good, it tastes so yummy too!!!

Price range about average S$20 per pax.

Click here for their outlets location.

Well, I ate far more than these but some are just normal, not worth mentioning. Also, I didn't activate my data roam (only activated for one day in Macau) so I looked out for free wifi everywhere. I bought their one day wifi pass (PCCW) but it's crap, connection is like shit.

Now, do you understand why I spent most of my money on food? LOL
